Your engine heater coil that is used to heat the passenger compartment is leaking. It needs to be replaced. If you don't replace it soon, you will cause serious heat damage to the truck's engine. Which can cost up to $3,000.00 to re-build the engine if you're lucky. A new heater coil will only cost you about 20-60 bucks along with some new hoses for the engine to heater coil replacement.

you could try some a rad repair solution if its not a big leak but it will only get worse ..
Its not a fun job to replace it but you might have too ... you can't run your vehicle with out coolant .. another thing is that coolant will prematurely rust out your floor boards because it can be corrosive .. so I would lift up your carpet and deal with that issue too Watch your pets too .. for some reason they are attracted to anti freeze and it will kill them in a few hours if consumed ...
good luck

I have a 1993 Suburban with the same setup. That big black thing on the passenger side is the heater block. It basically heats the interior of the vehicle. You need to get that fixed immediately if it is leaking. I asked my mechanic what that thing is and why does it sound like their is water in there, so that you know my source
