ad to this the computer and you have a excuse to visit a tyota autorized electricist.hard to tell. if it was me, i would hook up an engine scanner to the car, then drive it, watching ecm data. if the scanner shows veh speed readout on the scanner, then the speed sensor and ecm are good. then, its either ecm wiring to the instrument cluster, or the cluster itself. if the scanner does not read veh. speed data, then its either the ecm or the veh speed sensor bad. autozone cant fix this. has to go to a shop. if you truly lost veh speed data, the check eng lite will be on , with an associated dtc for speed data lost. sometimes the cluster will fail, but the odometer will keep on working. this means it's all good outside, but the cluster malfunctioned internally. look at odometer while driving. does it still register miles, just not speed? if yes, then cluster.
