I just got a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta and would like to know if there is any performance upgrades i can get for it. Nothing really expensive but maybe some upgrades i can do within a few hundred dollars. I was looking at some performance chips but havn't found a good one. Any suggestions?

APR chip is the best chip I have seen. I have had 2 1.8ts (GTI 337 and a 20th anni) one with APR chip and one with GIAC. i would def go with the APR chip. it is a few hundred dollars though so i do not know how much exactly you want to spend. intake is a couple hundred and exhaust and down pipes are pretty expensive. if you want a mod that you can actually FEEL the gains, go with the APR chip, you will not be disappointed. good luck!don't put a performance chip in it your not gonna see a hp gain on a stock car your best bet would be intake headers and exhaust

Chip, cam, intake. It will not be much but for a few hundred it is the best way to go and you will feel the biggest difference. look into GIAC chips. Check out vwvortex.com for some tips. Put u a chip, cold air intake, exhaust, and Bosh Platinum Plus 4 spark plugs in it. Even if u just changed the exhaust intake and plugs you would see a big difference. I know because I have been fool in with VW's for about 8 or 9 years. VW's need to be able to breath good to unleash the HP.
