How do car manufacturers choose the name of their new models?
I prefer Ford, and so do the vast majority of people I work with. I beat the crap out of my mustang and it has over 220,000 miles on it and it still burns no oil and will smoke the tires for a block.Most people who 'hate' a brand just don't know anything about cars. Every manufacturer has good years and bad years, and if everyone hates Fords, why have their trucks outsold everything for the last twenty years?

too be honest cars from all sides are becoming shitty. I like GM motors more than fords, but ford are not that bad. Ford generally have not as good plastic interror compared to other companies though.Worst cars are like toyotas and nissians to me.
Hondas and chevy's seem pretty much the best quality per buck. till you get into like 40 grand or more.

I own a 98 Explorer and in my 22 years of driving my Explorer is one, if not the best vehicle I have ever owned.... IMO Ford makes very good cars. It comes down to how well you take care of your vehicle.... if you neglect any car it will brake down on you.
Are Hyundai Sportages a decent car?
Ford is no different from other car makers, the industry is cyclical. In the 1990s, Ford was the golden child like Toyota is today. And people laughed at you for driving a Hyundai. That's not so much the case now.1999 Dodge 1500 truck, won't accelerate and tranny won't shift. The fluid is OK, any suggestions?
1st of all at least FORD is an AMERICAN company. I have owned alot of different muscle cars chevys, dodges,pontaics the only ones that still started and ran anytime were the fords. like this a.m. for example my mustang 1989 5.0 sits out in the driveway because the nicer mustangs are in the garage. Its been -25 for 3 days now in a row. I can go out there in that freaking cold weather and start that mustang with no problem. I love my fords but hate the way the fords are running the company. like now with them letting a ex-boeing exec run the company. FORD needs to quit buying foreign companies like land rover,mazda, jaguar and put that money back into training engineers to keep up with the Jap car companies who turn out 4 engineers to every 1 engineer FORD has.They really need to go back to basics like 1 small car 1 medium car 1 full size car 1 musclecar. And offer more accessories, wheels,performance upgrades at the dealerships not relying on aftermarket companies to make money off something that ford could do themselves. Kinda like the old SVO days. a special division soley for the purpose of FORD aftermarket parts and accessories for Ford. L/M vehicles. Why not toyota has TRD GM is doing it more now too with GM performance parts. aint nutin wrong wit a ford they just hatinfirst off i have 4 fords and they all run great so fords are by no means shitty second not everyone hates the ford motor company. third off the BIG THREE (FORD, GM, CHRYSLER/DODGE) have been rivals since the begining. and nine times outta ten when a ford starts running shitty it usualy becuase it gets treated shitty
