It could be one of several problems. Depending on how old, how hot the engine runs, and mileage the engine has, it could be interesting to say the least. First, have someone check each of the cylinders for specified pressure limits both high and low. Have the head gasket checked next if the cylinders are within specification for the car. If that's not it, you could possible have a bad valve, because you CAN have only one go bad. If the gasket is cracked or broken, have it replaced and the cylinder head and vale face GENTLY resurfaced because they may be slightly out of square. If the piston/cylinder pressure is low and the oil feels like it has grit in it, or the oil is really black, you'll have to have the engine rebuilt or replaced. Rebuilding an engine takes time and should only be done by a qualified shop. Engine replacement takes a few days and can be done in your own garage with the right tools.Planning to buy a Honda city,should buy post budget or before it ?
