unless water pump is leaking,should be no more than 250.we always have a special on belts,199.others may be more depending on labor rate.add drive belts at the same time,additional cost of belts but you save labor and you will know when they were done.doing the belt any sooner is a waist of money,unless something went out destroying the t-belt.that engine,3.4ltr,is none interference.it will not hurt the engine when it breaks.it will however leave you stranded.

this is a preventive step in maint.,you have to remove the top cover and coolant hose to see the belt.

some places dont have these specials,and could be up to 400.that is high for the belt alone.i do think you should let a trained or trusted technician to do it.hope this helps.

If it's never been replaced before then now is about time. Have them look at it the next time you have your car in for service- oil change, etc. If it's showing cracks in the rubber then you should get it replaced... Unless you just want to chance it and wait for the belt to break and fix it then, but you could get stranded somewhere and have to get a tow truck.
