when you have done 60,000 miles it is recommended that you do,make sure you do this or face a hefty bill.dont change it wait for the valves to hit the pistons then scrap it and buy yourself an audi.but if you insist on keeping it then you should change it at 80,000 miles but i would change it at 60,000.

get a new timing belt every two years. Even if the other is still in good shape, you won't have to worry about it going on yaConservative M.P.for falmouth andcarnbourne 1970----92?
If your timing belt goes it could cost thousands to repair the resulting damage that is done to the engine. Best to change it every 60,000 miles or less. And dont save on getting the garage to fit a cheap timing belt, go for the manufacturers approved one each time - it may cost a few pounds more but it is not worth the risk!ford focus timing belt intervals are 40k or 4 years..
what ever comes first. i would do a timing belt kit as the pullys are the main reason 4 timing belt falure hope this helps.....
How do i use the steptronic feature on a bmw?
Id say every 4 years if you do average miles, but its down to you really.I've got an old ford Mondeo that's on nearly 120k now on its original belt. I'm going for the record. ( I don't recommend you try this unless you really don't care about the car and have a spare)
Does a 383 chevy crate engine fit on a 1995 chevy silverado?
As everyone says though if/when it snaps your doing serious engine damage, in many cases a new engine is the only real option. If your worried about it get it changed, for piece of mind alone.
