Question:
right now i am looking for the right car. even though everyone says american cars are a piece crap i still like them. but i have had my eyes on many different sedans. and one of them now is the new chevy impalas. i have rented the impala before, but only back in 2004. if any of u, have been in a impala or own a 2006-07 can u give me some inside info on it? and what is the SS edition all about?

the impala is actually a very strong, tough car. american cars have improved dramatically over the last few years, ESPECIALLY GM vehicles. I would recommend buying one, they are very long lasting too. my grandparents have an '05 with 150,000 miles and they haven't had a problem. (yes they travel a lot, they're retired.) theirs is an SS with the 5.3 liter v8 and it gets 22 mpg.The SS is now a V8

You will look long and hard and still not find a better car in its price range. Excellent and very reliable automobile bar none.The Impala SS would be my American sedan of choice. Why?
Well, mainly because of its 303 horsepower V-8! This car can
really get up an go! It's the least expensive large 4-door sedan
that can do a sub-6-second 0-60. It's not bad looking either. ;-)

As far as reliability and economy is concerned... The gas mile-
age is actually quite good for a powerful V-8 with the high 20's
on the highway. The reliability, well... At least you have a good
manufacturer's warranty. Actually, the warranty will probably be
about average. Just break it in properly in the first 500 miles and
do all of the recommended servicing -especially the oil changes,
and you should be in pretty good shape.

Does the stereo in the FJ have an external amp?
Probably a nice car if it didn't have FOUR doors. Never owned a 4 door car in my life and never will. IMHO...only family guys and geeks drive cars with 4 doors.If you consider Oshawa Ontario Canada, American.. then it's the best! I work in the plant that builds them!! Great car!
