Good Points= Dependable, Oil Changes every 5000 miles instead of 3000. Fuel Economy is pretty decent, that E mark takes you a long way, but don't make it a habit. Interior room is bigger than it may seem. Most of the controls are easy to find (hazards are in better location for 05 and later years) Love the CD changer, Stereo sounds amazing. Gotta love the flower vase, everyone that gets inside my car still becomes fascinated by it. Big rearview mirrors. Overall a pretty decent, smooth ride with a bit of power in it.

Bad points= had a bit of trouble with the Electrical wiring, gave Dealer a hard time about this. They seem to be cool about fixing it, you have a 50,000 mile warranty that covers this. If you plan on having more than 1 adult in the car, it might get a bit snug in the back (I don't care I'm the driver) trink is a bit small, so only keep the necesities in the car, not a lot of room for junk (keeps you ornanized) make you you DON'T GET LEATHER SEATS!! I live in So. CA. and it is a pain in the rear (literally, burns your bum when you sit inside, no car seat covers allowed, that blocks the side airbags) The convertible has poor visibility from the smaller back windows. As with any small car, you need to watch your bum since the bigger, dumber cars think they have the right of way.

the good: great car, very reliable, great gas mileage, more room inside then you'd ever imagine, newer models now have in dash cd player, newer models also have a mp3 hookup so you wont need a fm transmitter for your mp3 player, oil changes at 5000 miles instead of the usual 3000. very cute cars, the only car that has a flower vase, they come in a wide range of colors now, overall... amazing cars! I have a 2007 vw beetle convertible, I wouldn't trade it for the world.What kind of car do you drive?
the bad: i really don't have any bad points about this car. i think its a great car. both of my bugs (2001 and 2007) have been great cars! I couldn't ask for a better car!
The good, it's a wonderful car very roomy inside for a small car. everyone that gets in mine is very impressed. Very reliable and handles great. Not to mention it's a cool looking car. I'm a big car person, I've always driven Ford Crown Victoria's or Mercury Grand Marquis', while the Bug doesn't ride as smooth as my land yachts it is pretty close and doesn't use near the fuel.
The bad, they had a cheap water pump with plastic parts installed originally, they break apart. Replace it with the new metal one if it hasn't already been done. Replace the belts including the timing belt if you need to do this fix.
