Question:
My 2000 Ford Focus has the "hiccups" when idling. Seems as though the rpms are dropping. Most noticable when at a stoplight with my foot on the brake and the car in drive. Sometimes feel it at high speeds if trying to accelarate. I have had the fuel injectors cleaned and changed the spark plugs. Could it be spark plug wires or something else?

I have an '01 Focus and it does this only when it's cold. Everything has checked out fine. So if yours does this only when it's cold, it might be normal.

It may be as simple as the timing is off a bit, or it misfires because there is a crack in the vacuum line and when the motor is cold and has not warmed up yet, the spark is not being advanced due to a faulty sensor or vacuum line...
