Question:
I am supposed to be getting a 2002 honda civic LX with 45,000 miles from this guy tomorrow who is selling it to me for 9,500 and I decided to see if he would lower it to 9,200 and he said no. I'm just wondering, do you think I could get the same car for a better deal or am I just kidding myself?? I already think this is a pretty good deal for the miles, but I want your opinion. Thanks!!
Answers:
You should be able to get the same car certified for around 10k or privately for around 8-8500k.
Family has sold cars for over 50 years.
Without knowing more about the vehicle's condition, it's difficult to answer your question appropriately, but I think that you are getting a great deal. Ask him if he'll go down to $9,350. If he doesn't, then just pay the $9,500. Go to kbb.com to find out the blue book value of the car. Also, get a carfax history report of the car before you purchase it to find out if the offer is too good to be true. Take care and good luck!

The blue book has it listed at $10500 for the good condition in private party. It's a good buy for $9500. Just simply make it's a clean title vehicle.
