alignment tells me -2 degrees out.. replaced rear tires as insides are bald. was told eccentric rear control arm bushing will help. have h&r lowering kit and bilstein sports all around.
fyi, this is a SPORT optioned car, if that matters. i know there isnt a rear adjustment for this car per se, but is the above true?

I was in the same boat - I lowered my car and the inside of the tires went bald. I replaced the rear control arms with eccentric bushings and it really helped. They're not easy to put in, it will take you a few hours. Make sure you install them 'as directed', you can easily put them in backwards and will have a real fight on your hands trying to put it back together. I also installed adjustable caster/camber on the front. I like the ability to change caster/camber (it can be done very easily from under the hood in minutes - no need to jack up the car) for long drive comfort, normal driving, and high performance turning - also lets you adjust for understeer and oversteer - especially with adjustable sway bars.

The Robert Bentley Service Manual for the BMW 5 Series says the rear wheel CAMBER on a car with SPORT SUSPENSION should be -2 deg. + or - 35 minutes.
The lowering kits are for appearances only. If you are going to drive the car with any regularity or any distance at any speed over 50 MPH you should remove the lowering kits ASAP to restore the safety and handling qualities originally designed into the car. In CA there are DMV rules against modifications such as you have made. Replacement of the tires with only half the tread used should occur before the tread gets down to 1/16 inch remaining. What would you do if it ever started to rain in CA?
