The M3 Stock Original will weigh about the same as the 17 inch (E46) 330i ZHP (Performance Package.) Maybe a little less.

However, if you have competition wheels on the M3 (E46) then the wheels will be much, much lighter. Then, if they are CSL wheels (or at least replicas) then the weight figures are over 30% and encroaching 40% on the competition wheels. And those are replicas...

Expect a postive change if you were to change from ZHP wheels to M3s of any variant. BMW does not release weight figures of individual parts.
