I had the same problem on my Chrysler 300. I just held the plate up where I wanted it to be. Marked the holes with a pencil, then drilled two small holes. I put the plate in a chrome frame from Checker auto then used two self taping screws in the top two holes. Total cost about $5.00 and that was because I wanted the chrome frame. You don't need the bracket. You have to drill more holes to install the bracket then just putting on the plate without it not to mention the cost. Just be careful drilling the holes that you don't punch through and hit the radiator. Drill slow and push easy, It's only plastic. Use short screws for the same reason. How do I reset the service engine light on a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer?
