Ya know Goldie, It's true that many foreign cars have long histories of great endurance; however, it is all rather hit n' miss. I have seen many American cars run forever and then not, as well as foreign. You should really educate yourself as to your needs, your desired features and benefits of any make of model. It is always great to find testimonies of real people driving real cars... GOOD LUCKHow do you change fuel filter on a 2001 F-150?

KiaMy car nissan presea (Refina) 1997 model airbag system is blinking. How to fix this trouble?
Obviously, you shouldnt listen to the person that said "Mercedes, Volvo".Mercedes owns consumer affiars worst car list with 3 out of 10 spots. Volvo does better, it only has 2 in the worst 15.
Now, im going to assume youre talking about new cars because its not uncommon to see an 80s volvo with 500,000 miles
The most reliable japanese brand is without a doubt toyota. Toyota/lexus has held the top relability spots for decades. Honda is a very close second.
Im going to agree with the previous poster about kia. They have made some exceptional strides in reliability in the last few years. 3 years ago i would have said stay away, now they are offering one of the best warrantys in america.
the only company to tie them for best warranty is suzuki. They offer the same 10 year/100,000 mile warranty.
There are no good german brands (well, for consumer cars, not supercars). Ever since the gm buyout, mercedes has turned into a garbage company. Volkswagen moved the majority of its production out of germany, and they are now taking another major hit in reliability (owning the worse three spots on many consumer groups)
american unfortunatly arent getting much better either (once again, consumer vehicle sales, non-specialized IE panoz, super performance, shelby). theres a reason the top three automakers in the US are getting bitchslapped by toyota and honda...
Out of the big three, gm, ford, dodge... ford is going to be the most reliable. 2004-2007 have been very bad for gm. They havent been able to get a single vehicle in any catagory on the 10 best list by: jd power, consumer affairs, or consumer reports... while ford had 1 (focus)
Performance parts for 427 chevy tall deck truck motor?
Bmw is a brand that teeters on reliability. They seem to be much more reliable when the model is a huge production.. say they make 90,000 7 series, there going to make 300,000 5 series... the 5 series will be much more reliable.
the mini cooper won car of the year award in 2006. but for long term reliability, its still to hard to tell.
mazda is another company like bmw... some of their vehicles are very reliable, then others arent. Its kinda like an 'inny meeny miny mo"
