Fuel economy meter on 2006 Ford Focus?

I just bought a new Ford Focus 2 litre. According to the manual the board computer should mention both average consumption and current/actual consumption. In my case it only shows average consumption. According to the dealer the manual is wrong. Is that so? Any way to turn this on?

I am afraid your dealer is right about the manual. However he failed to explain to you that the upgraded option package for instrumentation does have both displays. you have the standard instrumentation package.
