Audi A4 2001 Battery losing charge following fuel error?

Question:
This week I made the cardinal error of putting petrol in my diesel audi. Tank was drained and now drives fine. However now battery seems to go flat when left standing for even short periods of time. If jump started battery definately charges up when running so alternator fine and battery seems to hold charge in short term at least. Have checked usual things interior lights, boot lights etc and can find no source of battery drainage. Help

Can someone help me figure out whats wrong with my 2002 GTI 1.8T's gearbox?

Average battery life expectancy is about 4 years in automotive applications. Your car is 6 years old..so have you already replaced the battery? Plus, how do you know the battery definitely charges while driving? What is your system voltage? Have you done a current drain test? Odds are its just time for a battery, but you have to know that it needs one, not just guess and throw some parts at it. That's how you waste money. However, this is just a coincidence, its not related to any fuel issues you may have had.

Where can i get covers for my Peugeot lights?

These two things are probably not related. You may just need a new battery.

Good Ol.. Chevy Cavaliers..?

You may need a new battery, plain and simple.
