i wouldn't. trans fluid is a high detergent oil that cleans crud from various trans components. the detergent in old trans fluid gradually breaks down and does not clean as well. putting fresh trans fluid in a car w/ 108,000 miles will uncake alot of stuff and cause your trans to fail.Fuel Economy on a lifted Jeep?
There were 2 or 3 types of A.T. found in the various models of BMW in the mid 90s. Which BMW and which Trans. do you have? Many of the Auto-transmissions came with a very expensive Permanent, never change AT Fluid. These ATs have no filler tube and no drain plug by which to empty and refill the AT. BMW has changed its original philosophy about never changing AT Fluid. BMW now says the Permanent ATF s/b changed at every 100K miles using AT-Fluid Type 3. The procedure to do this is very challenging in how to get the old AT Fluid out and the correct amount of new AT Fluid in. A BMW dealer should have an instruction sheet about how to do this. The transmission should not break if you fail to change the AT fluid. Do you have any warranty still on your car?More Questions & Answers ...
