I want to drive it on a trip to the northern interior of bc.I will have to drive the Frazer Canyon to Quesnel.The tires are 4months old the brakes are less than a year and so is the exhaust system.It ALWAYS starts just is a little rusty do you think I can chance it? I really want to go and I'll take my time...It's about a 12 hour drive and of coarse it's up and down mountains.

good the brakes are new for the mountains, tires will be fine, my suggestion is get a tuneup if your worried,, and take 2 gallons jugs of water in the trunk,, water can be a life saver in a radiator hose emergency. I would replace both heater hoses and the upper and lower radiator hoses. that ought to cover it.get it checked out by a mechanic

it is pushing it a bit. I dont know exactly what your mileage is.but there are so many things that factor into whether or not your car would make it besides mileage, brakes, and tires (although that is a big part of it!) lol I would have to agree and say that the safest, most certain way to know would be to get it checked out by a mechanic. they would be able to tell you for certain and that way you wouldn't have to worry about being stranded along some highway 200 miles from home! It might not handle high revs for long periods of time. That is the main concern I would have. Travel when it is cool. Maybe at night would be best. Everything else should be fine.
