Fuel mileage for 2002 Chev Venture?

Question:
My wife and I are interested in purchasing a 2002 Venture with 51,000 km. How well is the fuel consumption and is there mechanical problems to be concerened about. I would like to hear from current or previous owners if they liked their van and would they buy it again.

I have an 03 Venture LT the Extended version
I get 21 miles per gallon
it has 50,000 miles on it and has not had any issues
but I have heard if a few with a head gasket problem on the older ones (pre 2000) with over 100,000 miles on them.
If I was more ambitious I would go out and do a conversion to Km
