Question:
i have a 2000 jeep wrangler with 33" tires and a 4" suspention lift, i want to get a body lift and put 35" TSL Boggers on it, do you think my stock DANA 30 front and DANA 35 rear axles could handle these tire or would i have to switch to the Dana 44s

I wanna do a JDm conversion to the front of my 95 integra 4dr, any suggestions, where to buy?
The front axle will be fine. Lots of people run 35s on the front Dana30 with no issues what so ever. I ran 36s on mine for quite a while before I swapped in a Dana44.As for the rear, the rear axle can barely hold together with 33s and an open diff, if you add a locker to your current setup it would only be a matter of time before you started breaking shafts. If you add 35s it will only be a matter of time. Truth of the matter is, its not if a Dana35 will break, its when. Some get by with it long than others. I've personally witnessed two Dana35s, blow apart on the street. Five on the trail, and thats just what I've personally seen. Mine left me stranded a state over and let go when I let the clutch out in first gear I was running 33s.
Its still recommended that you avoid putting money into the Dana 35. Running alloy shafts will pretty ensure when something breaks, its a ring and pinion, or carrier, or spiders, the axle just isn't strong enough to handle oversized tires. Spare stock shafts are never a bad idea, typically I try and make sure at least one person in our group is carrying spare Dana35 shafts. Its a Jeep enjoy it, when it breaks upgrade.
But don't just take my word about the Dana35, a quick search will bring up hundreds of results all advising not to run larger than a 33" tire on a Dana35 rear axle.
How difficult would it be to install headers on my '95 Jetta?
The Dana axles will probably handle the 35s, however you may want to regear them as the powertrain will be strained.Does the Toyota Prius come with the same engine as the Toyota Vitz?
The differentials strength isn't the weak link here, the axel and hub assy. may be. If you re doing or going to do some aggressive off roading I would consider installing some type of lockers in both ends. The 35 I would use either a detroit or the mopar performance posi third member. Up front I would only use a system that you have engagement control over, such as an air or cable style. You don't want the front end locked while driving on the road. Also don't forget to re gear both ends to compensate for the taller tires. There are allot of charts available to aid you with this choice of gearing as there are allot of options out there. The people you get the differentials from will have this info. Why have Toyota stopped producing/selling sporty type cars in UK ?
put 35's on your rear and you'll be sorry. swap it for and 8.8 out of an explorer. try typing 8.8 swap in google and see what comes up. it is cheaper than a dana 44 swap and stronger. good luckMore Questions & Answers ...
