98-02 Lincoln Continental comments please.?

Question:
I am considering buying one used b/c I love luxury and the price is right. I have found little bad on the internet, and nothing that would not be found about pretty much any car. I am still hesistant. Please limit comments to experience with newer models. 98-02 have many mechanical similarities to the 95-97, but anything older is not the same car.

They are excellent cars, particularly the model year range you specify. Older models had issues with air suspension systems failing. Only thing to beware of is the cost of engine work, if it ever becomes necessary. That 32-valve V8 is so tightly packed in the engine compartment, that if the cylinder heads ever require removal for whatever reason, the engine would need to be removed. Other than that, they are great cars. Hope this helps.

Help someone I am over my head!!!?

The mileage and the how well it was cared for is the factors. So if its been cared for properly they are really good cars. I have a 1998 model I bought with 20,000 miles on it and its been an excellent car and pretty good on gas highway can be as high as 28 MPG. I now have 107,000 miles with one out of the normal repair which was with the throttle body. if you can't be sure it was well taken care of then I wouldn't buy it but then that really goes for any car.
