I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE with a little over 120,000 miles on it. I'm having trouble with hesitation on acceleration (under 20 mph). At first, the car would only hesitate for a second when I would press on the gas, but now, it's gotten much worse, hesitating for as long as 5 to 10 seconds until I finally reach 20 mph...then it seems to run normally. What does this indicate and how do I fix it?

Can be 3 things. Fuel problem, not getting enough fuel off the idel to make the car go. Air flow problem. OR your throttle responce sencor.How is your catalytic converter, or run some injector cleaner thru your next tank of gas.
