Find a way to access the light from behind (inside the trunk, under the hood, reach from under the bumper cover) and turn the socket counterclockwise about a quarter turn. The socket should release from the housing. Pull the bulb straight out and replace with a new bulb. Put the socket back into the light housing as it came out.

Go in through your trunk, under the lining. The lining may be secured by plastic locking bolts. They may come off with a screwdriver or hex key, or you may have to pry them out.
When that is moved away, you should have a decent view of where you need to go... I have gone so far as to climb in my trunks of old and get a flashlight in there so i could better see what I was doing. It can be a tight fit getting your hand in.
