I do think that it's stupid that they have it with two wheel drive because the suspension and engine are made for off road use so the two wheel drive version is worthless. What they should do is make another vehicle with a very similar style but without the off road capability for the people who like the wrangler's style but never go off road.

They are for city dwellers, not anybody who needs what the Jeep name was built on. BTW, I own a '93 YJ!I've had two wranglers. the 07 wrangler is my third. The four doors are very nice if you have small children. if don't buy the two door version

ok first i have to say that i am a die hard jeep fan. chrysler is ruining the jeep name. the compass is the worst thing to come out since chrysler bought them from amc in 87. the patriot, commander, and libby are also very bad examples of jeeps. the four door wrangler is nice though. the power options on it though are stupid. most will say it is a bad idea but the longer wheelbase makes it better for off-road driving. and real jeeps did die in the early 90s with the gladiator and the comanche. i own a 91 comanche and have owned 2 others that i restored in the past. and i will not be buying any new jeep unless the new gladiator comes out. but to answer your question more straight on, yes it is a good idea and i like it. like i said, the longer wheelbase makes it better on most off-road conditions. this i know from owning a few comanches and off-roading in them with friends and their jeeps. it also does make nicer for the family man who needs the room but would like to be able to go off-roading on the weekends but cant afford a off-road truck.I love the 07 Jeep Wrangler unlimited i think its one of the best things going.. it does almost as well as the two door but you can take 5 people and all the doors still come off and the the top making it the first conv. 4 door SUV.. and it still does better off road then ANY other SUV 2 door or 4 door so its okay by me still has the awesome 4x4 of a jeep and still does better then all others
