I was just wondering if a 13B-REW (twin-turboed version of the rx7 engine) would fit with all the superflu (intercooler, intake...) in a NB Miata which is the 1999-2002 model. Me and my friend were just wondering ; ). Thanks in advance.

The firewall for one will have to be adapted for the larger motor as well as work on the core support/header panel.
Afterwards, once you get the fit you will have to make custom engine mounts and possibly subframe.

NOI believe it would! The engines are sooo small, I can easily carry my short block around! Custom engine mounts and drive line, anythings possible! Change the intercooler to a front mount so the hood can close and might need to modify the engine bay, maybe move the firewall back some? Engine mounts will be the hardest part, only two on the 13B block, trans is the other mount point.

Yes. This swap has been done in Japan many times. But It will be expensive, I would suggest just hitting up flyinmiata.com for all the stuff you need to make your miata fast as is. But if you want to spend the money visit mazsport.net. They will sell you a conversion kit for around $4000, then you have to buy the engine, about $2100 at jspecauto.com. The REW wont fit in this car. The Turbo II motor from the 1986-1991 turbo RX7 will fit but a tight squeez it is. Your best bet is put a N/A version of the REW in their with a nice Full bridge port, And many suporting mods and I promis you will make more power over a stock REW and the motor wont be as touchy if it was still a TT. granted you prolly wont make no were over 400 hp but in a miata with anything close to that power will be extremely fastMore Questions & Answers ...
