I have a 2001 Ford Taurus and the 02 sensor needs to be replaced - the dealer wants to much money I think to replace it if anyone could help me on where it is located and how to change it I would greatly appreciate it!

It depends on which one you are referring to. There are 4. The two upstream ones have the green connector. If it's the one for bank #2, it's relatively easy to access. That would be the one on the radiator side. But I doubt that's the one they are referring to. The other one is on the y-pipe, just below where it connects to the exhaust manifold at the back side. That would be bank #1. The two downstream ones with the blue connectors, which are the catalyst monitors are not easy to access at all. You would have a tough time disconnecting them, as they are mounted on a bracket that sits just above the steering rack. You will also have a tough time clearing the stabilizer bar. With that said, you better find out which one is the one that needs to be replaced. You'll need either an O2 sensor socket, or a 7/8" open end wrench to remove/replace. All O2 sensors are located in the exhaust manifolds and after the cat converter. You did not include enough info engine size 4 or 6 cyl ect. some 6 cyl car engines have four sensors. Trouble code numbers would also help.Can I swap this motor into my Civic?

Don't change the sensor. Get the codes and let's see what they say. o2 sensors should be good for at least 100k miles.NEVER replace ANY part till you know the problem. An o2 code doesn't mean you have a bad sensor, there may be some other codes with it. I can almost guarantee that you haven't worn out three o2 sensors on that car. You have a different issue; probably a bank 1&2 lean code which is a different issue altogether ($5 fix.) If you want to replace the 02 sensors, there are 4 and are not very easy to get to.
