2002 jeep liberty,tailgate won't open when key is turned,some times it will open, sometimes not.?

My 06 Rubicon has like a power surge when i let off the gas the engine keeps reeving like the pedal is stuck??

I couldn't tell ya. I really want one though. In my hurry to buy a new car I chose the Grand Prix GTP (SuperCharged) because it was the last day of the GM "Employee Pricing" and the dealership didn't have any GXP's. There wasn't even one in a 100 mile radius at the time for even a possible dealer trade...too bad...but I still love my GTP!
