Where is the swc wire on the 2007 chevy silverado?
Gauges in fords are worthless. I also have a 1989 F-150 and I'm going to bet that your problem is a blown head gasket. What happens is as long as the truck is cool it runs fine. Once the engine reaches operating temperature the thermostat opens and water flows through the cooling system, since the head gasket is blown gasses from the cylinders are getting into the coolant passages and superheating the coolant, This causes the engine to overheat and stall out. You also will probably be able to smell anti-freeze burning in the exhaust as it will also be spraying into the cylinder. Once it cools down the T-stat closes and it runs fine--UNTIL T-stat opens and water flows again. As for the ignition module others have suggested go ahead give it a shot, I've got one I'll send you if you want it but it has been my experience when these fail, they fail whether the truck is warm or cold and a simple tap on them with a screwdriver might make it go again. My money's still on a blown head gasket.short in the temperature sender or guage
Do any car companies make a hybrid Wagon or Minivan?
More than likely the ignition module. It is under the hood about 6'X8' in size. Usually when they start to go bad as you describe there will be a shiny plastic looking substance leaking from them. What is the 0-60 on a 2000 Firebird 3.8l V6?

Sounds like it could be the ingnition module.it is located on the distributor and is held in place by two screws and a wire harness..it runs about 20 bucks at the dealer. Do get the motorcraft.
How much is a used lancer evo(any year) and used WRX in cali?
I recommend you pull the codes to better single out the problem. The code puller costs about 50 bucks and it comes with a book of code translations. It plugs into the diagnostic plug located just above the driver side wheel well and in between the air cleaner and firewall.
