P0442 is "Small leak detected" In 2001 the Federal government required auto manufacturers to build cars that can detect a leak as small as .040" in the fuel system. That is about the diameter of a paper clip.
The fuel tank pressure sensor is located on the top of the fuel module in the fuel tank. To gain access, the tank must come down. The other answerer was talking about the purge valve which is located by the engine. (Find a black pipe with a green cap and follow pipe to engine. It will connect to purge solenoid)
There is also a vent solenoid under the car near the vapor canister by the tank.
The most likely cause of the code setting is a loose gas cap, or a damaged seal on the gas cap. To find the leak special equipment must be used including a machine that pumps nitrogen into the tank or smoke so the technician can find the leak.

P0442 Is a small leak detected code..you either have small leak in purge line to the tank your tank leaking..If all ok I would be replacing the vent valve by the tank NOT THE PURGE VALVE
