How do I remove the top portion of my passat door panel on the inside?

the panel is divided towards the top and bottom and i only need to remove the top. how would i do this?? thanks! do i have to remove the whole thing to do it??

As much as I am aware, they are a 1 piece. 2 phillips screws in the armrest, one phillip in the inside latch(a plastic covering will hide the screw), window winder handle will have a snap on plastic covering and a screw is under there. Then start in the lower corner and slide a flat thin bar between the panel and metal door and stick your fingers in there and pull away a bit(an inch or 2. The panel is held by a bunch of clips around the edge which pop into holes in the door. You will see. Easy. Go all the way around.
