1993 GMC jimmy coolant loss?

Question:
Since it was acting up I checked the fluids. I was losing coolant from an internal leak. Thinking it was possibly a blown headgasket I checked the compression and all the cylinders were good, and there was no coolant in my oil. I think it may be an intake manifold gasket but how would I know for sure?

if you have anti-F in the block the "oil dip-stick" will tell you .. get the engine warm and then pull the stick and the 2 fluids will show-up on the stick as gray/bubbley/ milky looking junk instead of oil on the dip-stick... I had a coolant leak and it was a bad water pump and it did not show any where -- the motor got warm and the coolant dried quickly.. look under the ride for a leak --- check carefully ... try not to let the engine get over-heated.. that will kill your engine -- really .....

Computer broke?

best way is to pressure test the cooling system and watch for leaks. most likely it's the intake gasket leaking, very common with 4.3L engines.
before replacing the gasket make sure you drain all the antifreeze so that when removing the intake no coolant goes into the oil pan, as that will cause other problems .
don't forget to change the oil when done
