Question:
My wife has had a C3 pluriel 1.4 petrol with sensomatic gearbox for five months (2000 miles) On two occassions the engine has cut out and a "transmission fault" message has appeared on the display but on both occassions the car has started after a couple of hours and the dealer has been unable to find a problem. Claiming that no fault was logged on the E.M.S. computer.
Obviously my wife is now scared to drive the thing in case it cuts out in the middle of a dual carriageway or something.
I have a Rover 220 gsi 94. Can you tell me the best place to get engine gaskets?
Anyone had any similar experiences?

Does your car have a BOSCH fuel injection system?? Honestly, I am unfamiliar with the C3, but I have had similar problems with the Peugeot fuel injected 1.9 litre petrol engine. After your engine cools down ('after a couple of hours') the sensors are set for a cold engine..it starts. A warm engine gives you problems! Same as my Peugeot. Removing, cleaning, and PRECISELY replacing some internal jet screws helped me.
Go to a NON-Citroen garage that has a Bosch computer analyser and get their opinion.
If I am wrong about your fuel injection, just ignore me.
