Question:
Ford Winstar Mini van. (Hunk'o crap)
Anyway.....my wipers won't work. They "jump" like they awant to start but do nothing. My husband has replaced the motor, relay and fuse. Any ideas? We're hoping to troubleshoot at home because our Chevy has the same problem and we know it will cost a fortune to take both cars in.
Are we missing anything? Is there something else we should try?

my 77 corvette does not say stingray on it where can find info on stringray's?
Where did you get the motor from? If it is a aftermarket that could be the problem.Your vehicle needs the original ford motor!I've seen aftermarket ones being installed and not been compatible with the vehicle. The way the aftermarket ones are sold, they are listed to suit multiple applications, which may not work for your particular vehicle. You didn't mention the year of Windastar. The model years 1999-2001, I think there was a recall to replace the wiper motor gear cover, which could also be the problem.
How do I change the headlights on my 1999 Volkswagen Jetta?
if the motor is easy to reach, try giving the motor 12 volts directly at the motor, to see if it works. If it does, the switch is probably bad. While the motor is disconnected, put a volt meter across the harness that plugs into the motor (the main + and - leads) to see if the switch is giving you power as you turn it on.Maybe you can play with the old motor too, if you still have it, since it's easier to reach. If the old motor works, you know it's not a motor problem.
