Question:
Our windshield wipers on our Malibu just stopped. Before taking it in and paying a fortune to fix, husband would like to try at home. The fuse is fine. He wants to check the relay but has no idea where to find it on this car. Any ideas?
Also.......is there anything else he should try before giving up?
Answers:
There is no relay.
I could fax/e-mail the diagnostic procedure for troubleshooting the problem, but unless your husband had a good digital volt meter and the knowledge to trace and troubleshoot circuits it's not going to do him a lot of good. If you would still like this info e-mail me through the Q&A forum and I will send it to you.
when did "they" stop selling leaded gas in north dakota?
try replacing the motor on the wiperscheck the wiper control switch[on the turn signal arm] it gets the most daily abuse...............other than that you must check for power at the wiper motor itself................if you have power to the motor & not working........replace the motor!
93 dodge caravan hood latch release?
check your multifunction switch this is a known problem for alot of gm vehicles if not the wiper relay is under the hood on the left hand side i would recomend a pro to do this because it will save you time and money if you don't know how to do this because if you do it wrong you can break something and the car wont startleaving you to pay for more things to fix trust me i see these things happen alot
Why won't Pontiac build another Fiero, does it scare the corvette?
This one depends stricktly on your husbands knowledge and skill level when it comes to trouble shooting. For starters there is no relay on this car . You will require a meter. Start at either end and trace till you find the problem. Bobwhere would i find step-bystep instructions on changing an exhaust manifold?
let me suggest buying a haynes auto manual for it then look up the problem(s) up in the trouble shooting section of the book. if this does not help you then call a mechanic ask them if you have the book I suggested you get then listen to him and looking it up in the book will save you allot of money.I am not a certified mechanic but I do my way around most cars, I am a shade tree mechanic with several years experience in auto mechanics.More Questions & Answers ...
