Which car is more expensive, and nicer--a Volvo 240 or a VW Jetta ??

Question:
My stepdad won't buy a Volvo 240 1989 for me, he says they are expensive to fix. But his daughter has a 1999 VW Jetta. I really want that Volvo--so is it safe to argue that it isn't more or just as expensive to insure and fix as a Jetta ?? Please help.

Answers:

Is anyone familiar with electrial problems a in 2000 VW Golf GLS?

well, the jetta is more expensive cause of the age difference. But VW are VERY unreliable as they get older. Get the Volvo, if you want something cheap and reliable. Can't even compare the reliabitity of a volvo with a VW. VW sucks. trust me, I know many people who regret that they bought VW even though they look "nice" . good luck with your purchase

Oh, and, older cars should be cheaper to insure

Has anyone had any steering or suspension problems with their 2007 Dodge Ram?

A Volvo 240 is a little piggy. In my opinion, I wouldn't get either car. You are better off with a fwd Toyota/Honda. They are extremely reliable, cheap to fix, and cheap as hell to insure.
