How to take t-top off without a key on MR2??

Question:
i have a 1988 toyota mr2 with T-top and i bought it without the key so i cant take them off. does anyone know how i would be able to take them off. all i wanna do is unlock it and leave it unlocked so id just have to turn the handles to take them off.. does anyone know if i could **** up the lock with a screwdriver or something? thanks

I owned a 1989 MR2. Even if you had the key you cannot just unlock them and leave them unlocked, because to get them off it's a combination of turning the key and turning the levers (handles) I had my car stolen and I did recover it and it was pretty well stripped Except for the T-tops. There was evidence that a screwdriver was attempted to jam the lock, but it didn't work. I would suggest that you get a locksmith to cut you a key. Good luck
