2003 Lincoln Navigator?

Question:
I recently purchased a 2003 Navigator but the seller did not have the code to open the door. I have been told that the manufacturer's code is located somewhere on the body of the car? Does anyone know where it is hidden? I have also been told that the dealer must retrieve the code by connecting to his computer. If so, how much should I pay for this? I also saw this service on Ebay. Any experience with this would be helpful.

I would also like to make a second key. Can I have one made and program it with having only one key? What is the least expensive way to do this?

The code should be in the owner's manual for all cars with a key punch code.

Best way to get the code is through a computer at the dealer. You have to have at least 2 programed keys to program another one.
At a dealer they put the computer on the car, they can program a new key or keys, and give you the door code at the same time.

remove engine from 2000 hyundai elantra?

I am puzzled by your question it has been almost 10 years now that the keys are coded so you can't just go have a key made surprised a person buying a expensive car like a Navigator wouldn't know that. About the code for the key-less entry yes its some where on the car and in with the owners manual as well and it does not need any dealer programing. The code always works no programing to be done. what service did you see on eBay? maybe you are confused with the hand held remote to unlock the car that you find on eBay and has to be programed nut not the keypad for the key-less entry. And you have to get a Lincoln key you can't just have a key made. I have to wonder where in the world did you get this Lincoln from that you don't have the second key or the remote or the entry code.

1993 Ford Ranger Standard Transmission - Foward Problems?

The only way that the 5 number code will be in the owners book is if the previous owner left the card in the booklet, it is not printed in the owners booklet anywhere. Pull off one of the access panels in the rear of the vehicle (behind the rear seat). Grab a flashlight. You are looking for a white plastic box that is a few inches by a few inches, the 5 number code for your door will be on that white box. When you exit the vehicle you can hit the 7-8 key and the 9-0 key at the same time and the doors will lock (depending on the alarm system, the alarm might arm as well). When you come back to the vehicle you enter the code and the drivers door ONLY will unlock. Hit the 3-4 key after entering your 5 number code and ALL of the doors will unlock. A second key will have to be programmed by the dealership, there is no way around this. A third key can be programmed at home with no tools but you must have two keys that are already programmed.
