Am having some problems with my 02 mustang mach 460 stereo!!?

Question:
the problem is that it turns on and off!! like when i put the key in it turns on normally, but then when i start the car the stereo starts to turn off and on!!
i thought it was the stereo but i changed with a barely new mach 460 stereo, but it does the same thing! what could be the problem! any tips would really help!

This is just a guess...maybe the multi function switch. I have seen them go bad before and cause odd things to occur like the wipers going by themselves etc.

Is your car automatic? I had one that the radio would shut off as sson as you would put in reverse.End up behing the the transmission range sensor sending a short to ground to the gem module.causing the radio to shut itself off Hope this helps
