A friend has a celica and she is under the impression that this is not possible. Her celica is a 2000 model 1.8L 140 bhp version, any help would be great.

Couldnt say for sure, but I too was under the impression that on Celicas and Supras the ecus are pretty much stretched to give the best performance they can.The celica was sold pretty much as two versions. the 140bhp model and the 190 bhp model. i dont think theres any fiddling you can really do in between that will make a great deal of difference. And as a side note on the 190 bhp model you only get the extra power over 6k revs, soyou have to drive the car hard to use the extra power, and you have to like stopping for petrol as well.
