You have to snag the lever for the remote hood opening located on the side of the hood latch. Get a strong flashlight and look directly or at all angles at the front of your car. Usually the lever has a red or white hard plastic grommet where the cable fits that runs into the driver's footwell. Make a coat hanger hook and work it around to snag and pull it towards the drivers side fender to release the first latch. If you can get the grille off, it might help you find the lever but I am not sure you can get the grille off without lifting the hood. You can do this as I have done this several times. Try laying on your back and looking up at the hood latch to find the hood release cable and follow it to the latch. It is black in color. If you can't find the lever, try snagging the release cable and pulling it out as it is screwed already. After that taking the hood off is a matter of two guys and 4-6 screws. Good luck.
