These aren't that difficult to take off or put back on. You need to make sure that the battery is disconnected first and foremost. Take a look at how many bolt holes are on the part you took out and try to line them up with the mount on the engine. There are usually two or three bolts that secure and alternator, with the longest bolt on the bottom so that the part can pivot to tighten the belt up. The electrical connectors are pretty straightforward. If you got too frustrated, go out and get a soda or beer then try again. A manual will also help.Instant photos are a good way to prevent this in the future. Take pictures of the part as you take it out if you don't have a photographic memory. (I do)
