My 2001 Chevy Blazer 4X4 sways when driving. Any ideas what is the problem?

Question:
It feels like something is loose. So far I can not see anything loose. Could it be the shocks?

Depending on the ride you are getting, it could be the shocks, tires or even a failed sway bar link.
Some times when doing heavy off roading or rock crawling people will disconnect the sway bars to allow a greater rate of roll in the suspension.
Shocks- drive over a series of bumps at a moderate speed, if the truck continues to bounce up and down you need shocks.
Tires- make sure they are properly inflated.
Swaybar - find a curvy road or one with a turn at a decent speed, if the truck rolls excessively to one or both sides, you need to look at the sway bar linkage.

How often should a car that sits out all the time (no garage or carport) be waxed?

could be alighnment
if your shocks are bad when you fit a bump it will keep going up and down
the springs absorb the bump the shocks stop the springs

Anyone know where i can get a seven seat conversion for my volvo 850 estate?

It's just swinging to your music. Check your tire pressure, if it's uneven that can do it. A bad shock can, not greasing the frontend can make it harder to steer and it will drive poorly.A worn out bushing on the sway bar can make it sway so can hooking a tow strap to it and bending it when pulling the car out of the ditch. Best is to take it to a front end shop with a good reputation.

Is there a short shaft water pump for a 454 (maybe a 366)?

Well the word "sways" brings a different picture to my mind, not that the other answers of sway bars and shocks don't have merit. I wonder if you have a tire that is separated, that is the tread is coming loose from the casing, resulting in a big bulge that will cause your vehicle to shimmy and sway as you go down the road. Get down on the ground and carefully look and feel your tires over for large bulges and bumps in the tread, these maybe along the inner or outer edges or down the middle. If they are really bad then you may see spots were cords or steel belts are showing. Good luck.
