first you will need to remove the fuses for the airbags... then there are 2 screws on the back side of the airbag.. then you will need a special socket to remove the nut that holds the wheel... then you will need another special tool to remove the wheel...next, after everything is screwed up and you are totally frustrated, you will need a phone to call a tow truck to take it to a qualified mechanic to fix it right in the first place.

i own a shop ,and if you do try and take it apart your going to find it very difficult to put back together,the rattling your hearing is coming from the swivel plate probably in it especially if it has tilt wheel on it,you,ll be better off letting someone repair this for you ,because you,ll probably wind up needing a column if you try and fix it,those are sort of complicated to work on,good luck.
