Question:
It only stops when I disconnect the battery. Is there a simple solution?
Answers:
Your fan is electric and is controlled by a fan thermostat. It only comes on when the coolant temperature requires it and shuts off when the coolant cools down after the engine is turned off. If it keeps running for more than ten minutes, then this thermostat is stuck. It is an electrical switch, inside a plastic or metal body with two wires coming out of it. Most are on the block near the water pump. Some are on the radiator. I don't know precisely where it is located on your particular car. It should be an inexpensive job to have it replaced, though. If you want to do it yourself, you might find an auto repair manual (like Chilton's) at your local library.
Hopefully this is of some help to you.
it is cooling itself off and should stop when proper temp.
How does the spark plugs on a 1990 Caddy Deville look like? need 2 see pictures.?
well, the fan should keep running for a little bit after the engine is off to cool it down to the predetermined temp. If it does not shut off after a few minutes then your fan relay is bad. replace the relay and you will be back in businessWhat is so special about Ford centurion?
Those units should have the automatic shut off. It will keep going till the internal temp reaches, I think it is 170 degrees, then it will shut off. If you keep disconnecting the battery then do you not have to reset your clock and all? :)Cheers

If your engine isn't hot and it won't stop running, it sounds like the relay is gone. Take it to the shop and they will fix it.vauxhall vectra passenger indicator not working check fuse its OK any ideas ??
