I have a 1997 Ford Ka, bought it last year, it's now done about 44,500 miles, it drives fine, struggling a little uphill but now, it keeps cutting out, the engine just goes, and the battery light comes on and suddenly i've lost all power to the car, this happens usually as i'm approaching junctions, slowing down but it also happens just everytime it was, like half way round a roundabout. There is also the problem with my blowers, in that the heating function still works, but nothing blows out, so i can only make the car warm if i drive at high speed with the heat turned up, which forces air through. If anyone has any solutions to either of these problems, please let me know!

The fan motor for your heater is dead. You need to check the fuses for a start. IF the blower motor fuse is good then you need to trouble shoot the fan motor, it might be toast.. Not very exspensive to replace.where can i find diagram to dashboard for Chevrolet silverado C1500?
As for the motor cutting off I would say you have a problem in the ignition system. If it were fuel the car would chug to a stop. But since you say it is dying, it sounds like a loose wire or shorting out wire. The Battery light comes on because the engine dies and the alternator is no longer producing power, but the key is on. I would guess at a loose wire or rubbed through insulation since you say it mostly happens when slowing or on round abouts.

Get ur battery and alternator checked out, usually u will get it done for free. Try this be4fore putting it into a garage and being charged. Any good car accessorry shop or tyre and exhaust will do a free check on ur battery and alternator. Re the heater it could be a fuse, switch, wiring prob b4 u start pulling out the motor, it may still be the battery but if all other electrics work it wont be4 the battery causing ur heater prob. Check other high drain items like heated rear window and wipers. is it a 1.3 or 1.25 ? if it's the 1.3, this is an ancient engine design, and for some reason - since it gained fuel injection, it ruins spark plugs.
