Sounds like the valve pan cover gaskets are leaking and the oil is running down the side of the head and into the area of the sparkplugs.Pretty common for this kind of problem.Plus the age of the engine,pretty much so.Where is the thermostat located on a 1994 Chevrolet Camaro?
Have you put any oil additives or "slick 50" in the motor? If so it can make the oil so slick the gasket cant hold it in. If that is not the case then see a mechanic soon.Would 15" centerline vette wheels work on a 91 camaro that calls for 16"?
I'm assuming you said "around" the spark plugs, not on the spark plug when pulled out. If you pull the spark plug boot, you are seeing oil, correct? If so, then Red hit your answer and you need to replace the valve cover gasket. If not, then are you seeing any type of smoke from the exhaust? If so, you might have bad rings, which you will need a motor rebuild, or replacement. Or you might have bad oil seals in the head, which is allowing oil to by-pass, contaminating the plug area.My starter for 2001 Chevy Impala?
The valve cover gasket includes spark plug tube gaskets. The plug boots go through the valve cover on your engine, so these gaskets are necessary. A little side note: if you have difficulty putting the plug wires back onto the plugs, set them in the freezer for an hour or so, then install them.
