Thanks for your suggestion Gavin. I'm not sure that the key fob is the correct one for my car. I have two keys, one that opens the drivers door and the boot, and the other fits the ignition. If I do get a battery fitted and it does work remotely, what 'button' do I hold down whilst turning the ignition...a button on the fob, or do you mean a door lock button? I don't think the fob will work..if it did, I would expect the same key to open the door manually (which it doesn't). I have a seperate key that opens the driver's door, the 'fob' key only works the ignition.

ok. you hold the smaller button down. weather it works or not will depend on weather your ignition barrell has been changed or your door locks have been changed. the fob should however program itself to the car when you do this regardless. i hope this helps if it doesent i know a more complicated way of doing it so let me know.Where can I sell a 1962 chevy stepside bed and how much is it worth?

Remote control:
1. Press on button A (big button, Peugeot symbol) to lock or unlock the doors or rear hatch.
2. The locking is acknowledged by a 2 second flashing of the turn signals.
3. Press once again on the button, to unlock the doors and rear hatch; the turn signals blink fast to acknowledge.
4. The red lamp B (small lamp near the Peugeot symbol) blinks always with the pressing of button A and indicates that the battery is sufficiently charged.

PROGRAMMING THE REMOTE CONTROL:
Press on button A until the little lampe B blinks.
Let the button loose, the little lamp burns constantly.
Press 2 times on the button A in the immediate vicinity of the auto.
Turn the ignition contact ON for at least 3 seconds.
Turn the ignition contact OFF.

The remote control will work again now. Seek advice from a Peugeot Service garage if the problem still exists.
If the battery is replaced and the remote doesn’t work, again reprogramme the system.
