1993 Nissan Altima - transmission?

My 1993 Nissan Altima started leaking a lot of transmission fluid. Prior to this the car was running fine. Any ideas what is wrong?

If it is a standard trans. If it is an auto transmission, I would identify where the leak is coming from, the front, back, or bottom of the transmission.

If it is an auto transmission ten you might just be looking at replacing the pan gasket, if it is leaking in the above mentioned places as with the standard you will be looking at replacing either the input or the output seals.
