Peugeut 406 hdi chugging and cutting out something to do with fuel cut of switch on front of engine?

orange engin warning lite came on and cut the car out got th ecar going again but very slugish no power the part jast looks like a long rubber bolt with a plunger in the midale to leave fuel through put a new one on and happened again is something else causing the problem

i would get it to your nearest garage they will check on the computer or even an auto electrician who can link up to your ecu. sounds like it could be exspensive but i need more details eg what revs is it sluggish and what speeds be careful as it could be your timing belt and pistons. if it is the car will use more fuel than normal
